VENISON PROVISIONS
Feeding Alabama Families, One Deer At a Time.
During the 2022-2023 Hunting Season alone, approximately 309,000 were recorded as harvested in the state of Alabama. That is only with an estimated 87% reporting rate.
True numbers could easily reach over 350,000.
*Alabama is the fifth poorest state in the nation, causing 17% of adults and 23% of children (1 out of 4) to struggle with food insecurity. The USDA defines food insecurity as a lack of access, at times, to enough food for an active, healthy life for all household members and limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate foods.
